Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov during his working trip to Zhetisu region got acquainted with the development of transport and logistics industry, which occupies a share of 7% in the structure of the region's economy. According to the results of the half-year in the region there is a trend towards an increase in cargo transportation by road from 55.7% at the beginning of the year to 101.1% for 6 months.
As part of this inspection, a presentation of the new Eurotrans Group terminal at Dostyk station was held.
The presentation detailed key aspects of the new terminal, which will be one of the largest and most modern logistics facilities in the region. The terminal's capacity to handle up to 950,000 containers per year will significantly accelerate and optimise transhipment processes at the border, which is critical to strengthening Kazakhstan's transit potential.
The presentation also allowed to demonstrate how the new terminal at Dostyk station will contribute to the implementation of the Development Plan until 2029, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 30 July 2024. This project will not only be a significant step in the development of Eurotrans Group, but also an important contribution to strengthening the country's economic growth.

Eurotrans Group is proud to announce that the director of our terminal at Dostyk station, Chokalakov Sharipkhan Hasanbekovich, has been awarded the title and award ‘Honourable Railwayman’. This high recognition was a well-deserved assessment of his long-term contribution to the development of the railway industry and significant achievements in the field of logistics.
With over 30 years of experience in railway logistics, Sharipkhan Hasanbekovich has proved himself to be an outstanding manager and professional. His efforts to modernise and optimise the operation of the terminal at Dostyk station have significantly improved the efficiency and reliability of our company, which in turn has helped to strengthen Eurotrans Group's position in the market.

On 28 July, individual competitions in men's epee were held. Ruslan Kurbanov took 6th place, having beaten Frenchman Romain CANNONE, the Olympic champion of Tokyo, and lost to Japanese Koki KANO, who became the new Olympic champion.
Earlier at the Olympic Games our fencers did not rise above the 11th place.
On 29 July, Aigerim Sarybay won the first fight in the individual tournament of the Olympics against the representative of Algeria and also lost to the new Olympic champion Manon APITHY-BRUNET of France.
And finally, on 2 August, the men's epee teams competed. Our guys lost to the Hungarian team, which included two world champions, the current 1st and 2nd number of the world rating, with the score 45:30. Today the Hungarians were unstoppable - then with the same score they won against the hosts of the competition - the first number of the world rating of the French team, in the final they overcame the stubborn resistance of the Japanese - 26:25! and became Olympic champions.
The Kazakhs defeated the Egyptian team, lost to Italy and eventually took 6th place, ahead of the first Pan-American and African teams - Venezuela and Egypt.
As we have already mentioned, Kazakhstani fencers competed in the team tournament of the Olympics for the first time, so the 6th place becomes a benchmark.
The Olympic Games are the strongest and most prestigious fencing competition in the world.
It is explained by the fact that the selection for the Olympics in our sport is very strict and only the colour of the world fencing gets here.
For example, at the World Championships and Cups there are 50-60 teams and 250-300 people in individual standings in each weapon, but only 8 teams and 35 people in individual standings in each weapon qualify for the Olympic Games.
The first places in Paris were expectedly taken by the teams of the countries with centuries-old fencing traditions, dominating in the world fencing for decades - Hungary, Japan, France, Italy (the sensation was only the 3rd place of the young Czech team). They have multiple champions of Europe, Asia, the world, Olympic Games.
On 3 August 2024, a team building event was held on the occasion of Transport Workers' Day. The event was a significant occasion for all employees of the company.
The team building event was organised to strengthen team spirit, improve interaction between employees and create an atmosphere of unity and mutual understanding. The event programme included various activities aimed at developing team skills, leadership and cooperation.
